I found these illustrated children’s poetry book from second-hand book seller on Instagram. I’ve been meaning to start our poetry book collection but there is just too many to choose from. Do I choose classic editions with no illustrations, black and white art, full-colored illustrated?
Whenever I’m not sure yet about a book series, I try to borrow or find a copy in our local thrift stores. It helps alleviate the pressure of keeping the set even if I don’t really like it that much, because I didn’t buy it brand new. Though, the book selling biz here in the PH has been booming since the pandemic. So it’s not really a big loss.
Anyway, here’s a few pages of the Poetry for Kids Set from QuatroKids.
The poets part of the series are:
- Robert Frost
- Carl Sandburg
- William Shakespeare
- Walk Whitman
- Emily Dickinson
Hardcover, full page colorful illustrations on glossy paper. It’s really beautiful. I wish they would add more authors to the collection.
